Continuing Dental Healthcare
We believe that prevention is the best treatment our patients can receive. For this reason, we recommend continued routine dental care for all of our pediatric patients. This will allow us to monitor dental health, provide necessary treatments and properly educate your child about the importance of oral hygiene.
Even though “baby teeth” eventually fall out as children get older, it is still highly important to properly care for them. They are vital for properly talking, chewing, and reserving space for permanent teeth when they eventually erupt.
We also believe that teaching children proper dental health habits is highly important for their development. Our dental staff teach your children how to brush, floss and care for their teeth properly. We will also discuss healthy food and habit choices that can help ensure optimal oral health.
As your child continues to grow, we will monitor their teeth, gums and overall oral health. If any issues are noticed, we can promptly treat them before they become a bigger problem. If we notice any signs of spacing or alignment issues, orthodontic treatment may be recommended. Dental sealants and fluoride treatments are also available to help give your children’s smiles a bit of extra protection.
